Students can explore careers in technology, trades, health, and human services through programs such as:
- Coding in Minecraft Introductory – Create step-by-step instructions, called algorithms, using Minecraft. Learn how to figure out what will happen when you run your code. Practice finding and fixing mistakes in your code to solve problems.
- Coding in Minecraft Intermediate – Create programs that use variables, logic, and loops. Make a program that helps solve a problem.
- Coding in Minecraft Advanced - Write programs in Minecraft using text-based coding with JavaScript. Learn how to reuse code, read JavaScript, and figure out what the code will do. Create programs that use logic, comparisons, and loops.
- Exploring Technology – Learn how to use journals and the Engineering Design Process to plan and solve problems. Build and test models for different design challenges. Try out different types of energy sources.
- Exploring Technology II - Create and build systems to reach certain goals. Take things apart to find and fix problems. Design, build, and keep records of models for different engineering challenges.
- PLTW Gateway: Automation and Robotics - Students learn about the history and effects of robots and automation. They explore how machines work, how energy moves, and how computers control machines. Using the VEX Robotics® platform, students design and program things like traffic lights and robotic arms.
Our career exploration opportunities give students a strong foundation for the future in a fun and engaging way.
